He's 3!!!

Aiden had his Birthday Party this past Saturday. We had originally planned to have the party in the backyard with just a couple of his young playmates, but the weather dictated otherwise. Due to the rain we had to move the party inside. We also had a lot more people show up than we anticipated, so off I hurriedly went to the store for more snacks, drinks, and cup cakes. It was a mad house inside, but all of the kids had a great time, and I think that most of the adults left headache free.

The Elefun has been one of his favorite gifts. It was a hit during the party, and Aiden played with it by himself for most of the rest of the evening.

His actual birthday, Sunday, the kiddo had some special Daddy time. We went to the park, and had a lot of fun.

Looking back at it all, I just can't believe that the little guy is 3. I love you kiddo.

Cool Birthday Gift

Tay got me a special car rental for a day for my birthday. It was supposed to be one of my dream cars, a BMW M5, but the rental agency's only one was in an accident this past weekend and was unavailable. So, I was upgraded to a Maserati. Sweet!

The little guy enjoyed it too!

I was, however, strangely fine with getting back into the truck. It was a little stressful driving around a car that was worth almost as much as my house.

CAUTION: Hard Hat Area

When you're living on the edge like Aiden, even something as simple as watching a DVD requires wearing a hard hat. You never know when the next call for a demolitions expert may come in! Beleive me, he's ready, experienced, and can provide references upon request.

Radioactive Nuclear Waste

So, Jelly Belly apparently makes pudding now.


Aiden saw it while Tay was shopping today, and convinced her to buy one of his favorite colors, green.

The stuff is radioactive-nuclear-waste-green to be exact. And, in my opinion, tasted like playdough with a hint of apple flavoring. It was pretty bad.

The kiddo loved it though! He's eaten all 4 of the pack's cups in about 7 hours. Once he finally falls asleep tonight, I'll sneak in and see if he's glowing.

A Pretty Mess

Aiden found a tube of Tay's lipstick the other day. He decided to finger paint. Tay said that it took almost 2 hours to clean it all up.

Consensus

Tay and I agree that 9 am church in a new building which is only 3 minutes from the house is the best Sunday schedule. Aiden was even better behaved* than usual. He took a 3 hour nap after we got home and had lunch, and then we made cookies and went for a walk to the park as a family.


*Note: Behaved is still qualified, as he wasn't completely behaved. He still had to be taken out of Sacrament meeting twice, but at least the nursery leaders didn't have to come and find us this week.
